  “You didn’t tell me you were going to be pimping me out to other men.” She looked at him with hate and he recoiled. She could see the pain in his eyes.

  “I wanted to shoot him when I saw him touch you Alice.”

  “How could you let him to that to me? And then you to her.” She cried out.

  “Alice, there’s more to this than I’ve told you.” He looked at her carefully. “John Gold is a evil man.”

  “You think I don’t know that?” She laughed manically.

  “Alice, he’s responsible for something that happened to my mother. I, I can’t talk about this right now.” He turned away from her.

  “You never want to talk about it Oliver,” she spoke softly. “Maybe if you told me I would understand.”

  “This is part of the game Alice, you either play it or you don’t. I have to do what I have to do.” He looked at her carefully, his eyes searching for something in her face.

  “I don’t know if I can do this anymore Oliver. He touched me.” She gulped and looked down.

  “Alice, I don’t know what to say.” He grabbed her into his arms and kissed her passionately. “I wish that I could be someone different for you Alice but this is my life. This is a game Alice and these are the rules we play by.”

  She looked at him sadly, “I don’t know if I can play by these rules anymore Oliver.”

  He looked at her sadly, “Just get through this night with me Alice. All I need is this night.” He closed his eyes. “I need to make him pay.”

  Alice gazed at the man she loved. The man she had dreamed about for years. Here he was, Hollywood star and legend Oliver Park, standing in front of her, begging her to stay with him. He looked lost and desolate. And all she wanted to do was hold him. But as she stood there biting her lip, she didn’t know if this was a game she could afford to continue playing.
